An impressive engineering feat
This small museum has many wonderful photos of the Ferrocarril and the building of it. A few actual antiques from the train station. Make sure to check out the actual station and reception room on the downstairs level. I am not sure what I paid 20Q for, it seemed that the other people just walked in. I attempted to do that and was stopped, I do look like a tourist though.

Never Open!
Gorgeous old building. Hugemongous wood doors that always seem closed. For such an imposing building you would think they would post times. But no. You gotta knock & someone will come. Unfortunatly I can't read Spanish only can speak it so I wandered around & marveled at how desolate & cold it was inside. Quite candidly I will say this. The quality in Guatemala is VERY 3rd world. No one really cares if you like it here or not. The so-called better hotels are a waste of your money....here in Zela. Better to just sleep in one of the many hostels hich are basic too but at least don't charge an arm & a leg!
