What a Treat!

La Galeria celebrates the arts as a whole and provides at the same time a center for local and international artists. We sell a vast range of art work at attractive prices, rare and fine art pieces for collectors as well as unique frames of our own design. The building, a piece of art in itself is located in the heart of Panajachel. Since 1973 we also organize community events, concerts, theatre, cabaret, art movies etc. Our additional show of unique folk art began in the 1920s and continues to this day. Come by for an excellent cup of cappuccino or espresso and get inspired.House recommendations: Cappuccino -

    Something different
La Galeria is a place a little bit different from the normal tourist-attractions. Entering the property you might be not quite sure, if this is a home or a gallery. But don't worry, the very personal feeling offers you the possiblity to feel more as human than just as tourist. If you want to see more than just the Calle Santander this is the perfect spot!

    la galeria
Galeria is a great sanctuary in busy panajachel. an artsy and quirky space loveingly created and cared for by 3 generations. there is an interesting and changing exhibition of mayan and modern art and also the beautiful esoteric work of resident ,now retired Nan Cruz. the house and garden and gallery are an inspiring place to visit ,and the family ,staff and volunteers are helpful, gracious and friendly. linger longer and order a cup of tea or coffee.
