a truly well curated set of exhibitions, ranging from old to new, oil to photography, nature to portraits, a wide variety of exhibitions. The main object was to see the Pierneef station panels, a must see. The installation art and other forms wre a added bonus. Beautiful museum, well maintained. Just lovely
This modern museum on the outskirts of Stellenbosch is a delight. We spent a fascinating morning there. A lot of South African art, well laid out, and beautifully displayed. From imposing William Kentridge pieces, to a fascinating ballet shoe and life series from Steven Katz. The old drawings from the Johannesburg railway display depict scenes from across the country and are well laid out. A small garden and coffee shop. A highlight of a visit to Stellenbosch

    Art for all
Lovely place to visit when in Stellenbosch. See different art works - some new some old. If you love art give yourself enough time to appreciate every item. There is a small place to have something to eat / drink and no entry fee is charged. The Johannesburg Railway Station Panels from Pierneef is a permanent exhibition.
