Treasure trove of information
This museum is an absolute gem. It gives a real sense of the history of Prince Albert and the characters who shaped it. It’s immaculately catalogued and labelled. We found the section on the San particularly interesting. For a nominal entrance fee, this museum is so worth a visit.

Interesting museum
The museum is well maintained and has lots of info on the local area and inhabitants, from original San inhabitants to the present. Displays are tasteful and well-presented. I especially enjoyed all the textile-related displays, including patchwork coverlets, kappies (bonnets), embroidery, and old sewing machines. The staff are friendly and helpful. Awards for best local museum are well-deserved! Highly recommended visit and good orientation to the area.

Don't miss this one
A lovely collection. History being told from the perspective of a family. We enjoyed the place and the town suddenly got a familiar feeling. If you are lucky, there is an old resident there who can tell you a lot of stories of the "olden days", but even the young woman who was there the last time, was very knowledgeable and made the place come alive.
