A must visit when in Tulbagh!
If anyone wants to learn about the devastating earthquake that befell Tulbagh in 1969, this is the place to go. A well informed member of the museum gave a detailed explanation of what happened and the effect it had on the local community. The display and photographs are well set out and the museum also gives the history of the town itself. Don't miss out on this one!

Great source of information
This is a good first stop before walking down Church Street and enjoying the renovated properties. Well laid out, packed full of information and personal stories of the earthquake and rebuilding. The ticket for this museum gives access to all museums on the street. Buy an audio walking tour (voicemap) ahead of time and you'll be set for a lovely morning.
