Ash the Entertainer

We decided late to see if we could get onto one of these boat tours as we were driving down that way. Unfortunately, there was no phone signal to book, so we turned up and were lucky to be the last two let on. Ash was very entertaining, made sure the kids were well looked after, and was very knowledgeable about local history and the flora and fauna. We saw lots of wildlife and felt that the trip was great value for money.

    Good for Adults and Families
We thoroughly enjoyed our boat trip on Yardie Creek and saw a lot of wildlife that we wouldn't have spotted if we'd done the walk trail at the top of the gorge, particularly osprey and black footed wallabies. Tour guide, Boxy, was very good at pointing them out and his stories of growing up in Exmouth added extra local flavour to the trip. The scenery from the water was spectacular and we have lots of great photos. We recommend incorporating the boat trip into a day of activities. Take a picnic and stop at Turquoise Bay to swim or snorkel on the way back to Exmouth.

    Short but sweet
The tour guide ‘Box’ who owns the company with his wife is super knowledgeable about Exmouth. He shares some really interesting history and stories. The cruise itself is relatively short- probably because the creek section with water isn’t actually that long. We spotted quite a few animals on our cruise and were pretty amazed by the gorges themselves. When we went (October) tours were running twice a day at 11am and 12:30pm. For an adult it cost $40 and we booked through the Tourism Centre in Exmouth on the day and had no issues. You can also book on their website.
