A great way to spend a day in Fremantle
We actually specifically went to the Maritime Museum to book the Submarine tour. Absolutely blown away, our wonderful volunteer guide John was a wealth of information. Very very informative. We did buy admission tkts as there was a exhibition ( Walking with Colour by Michael Haluwana. ) very well presented loved it.

Great place to understand some of our Maritime history.
What a great place to visit and enjoy local maritime history. The Oberon class Submarine HMAS Ovens tour is well worth the effort. Unfortunately I did remember our tour guides name but his knowledge and explanation was amazing. His background is electronics and fire control system and explained the firing solution aspects of how to make every weapon count. Was well versed on how the parts and systems of the submarine worked, how they maintained trim even when firing a torpedo etc, a very balanced boat. Australia II has a great home. Last time we saw it was in Sydney in the Museum. Well worth the time to visit and enjoy. Would come back again. Other amazing things we learnt was Freo was the largest submarine base in southern hemisphere during WW II.
