Ningaloo Blue Dive

We booked an Eco Tour early October as we saw a sign saying they saw whale sharks a day before. Sadly on our trip out we didn’t see a whale shark but we did see 2 whales. If you want to do this tour purely because of only seeing a whale shark, I wouldn’t recommend booking an eco tour during this time of year as the money is not worth it if you don’t see a whale shark and only come back during the whale shark season where there is a guarantee you will see one. It was quite disappointing spending the money but the staff onboard were so amazing and attentive. The food was plentiful and delicious, amazing company and it was fun snorkelling. “Jonique Life” Follow our journey around Australia on Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube as we highlight wonderful experiences and magical places you can add to your ever growing bucket list.

    Eco tourism at its finest
Today my husband and I had the absolute pleasure of going on a whale shark & humpback eco wildlife tour run by Ningaloo Blue Dive and if I could give this more than 5 stars I would. From the moment that we were picked up from our hotel in an air conditioned coach by the lovely Ellen & Leah we knew we were in for a great day. The ladies were incredibly informative while still being funny and entertaining the whole bus drive out to the boat (around 30mins). When we met the rest of the crew on board they were just as wonderful. All of the equipment we needed was graciously supplied, along with food, drinks, education and laughs all day. There was even the loveliest photographer on board for the whole journey taking video & photos to capture everything. The photos are free and the video available for a really reasonable $60! Such a thoughtful touch! We had two opportunities to drift snorkel over the coral and saw so many incredible animals...turtles, sharks, dolphins, giant cod and so many colourful fish. The ladies were in the water with us pointing out exciting things and keeping us all safe and helping us back on the boat. We also had the most incredible experience swimming with a whale shark! This was quite unexpected as it is off season for them and it was only by chance the skipper spotted it from the boat and the ladies made sure everyone on the boat got a chance to swim with it. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever done in my life and I’m so grateful for the whole Ningaloo Blue dive crew for making it such a wonderful day from start to finish! The food: We had cheese, crackers, veggie platters and bread for morning tea as well at tea, coffee, milo, water & cordial. Then a lunch spread was served that had bbq chicken, bread, cheese, salads, sliced meats, garlic bread & mini pies and sausage rolls. Then at the end of the day after our last snorkel Sparking wine & a beautiful fruit platter came out. There were even mini Mars bars for the bus drive back! :) Can’t recommend these guys enough!

    Amazing
The only 1 thing we were disappointed in was the fact that photography didn't capture the fact that we had 2 whale sharks at a time at one stage, but knowing this now I'll just say bring your phone in a waterproof case or whatever and get your own photos too. It's great you get photos for free. $12 for a USB so if you can bring your own we would advise. Absolutely AMAZING experience. Friendly crew. Knowledgeable. Felt so safe the entire time. You are in good hands here. Whilst they do say they can't guarantee anything, (which is so true) we had an absolutely amazing time. Snorkelled first to make sure all gear was ok for main event. I recommend tying hair back and fitting snorkel to accommodate from the very beginning. You do spend a lot of time on the "marlin board" waiting to jump in so a cheap cap you can throw onto boat before you jump off is recommended (burnt scalp here!). Other than those bits of advice all I can say is I wouldn't hesitate to book with ningaloo blue again. I highly recommend them Thank you Brad, Fleur, Jade, Jane and Kat! Amazing experience. Beautiful people ❤
