Orca tour

Just wow. An utterly unforgettable day. A true bucket list item ticked off for us. First and foremost the Orcas. Success! As soon as we hit the hotspot we sighted them. As the charter capable of going furthest offshore, we were lucky enough to spend the entire day cruising with the pods. At points there were 20 spectacular black and white creatures breaching together. One or two curiously swam right around and under the boat. Thank you crew. You were extremely welcoming, approachable, knowledgeable, attentive and kind. Special thanks to skipper Crossy, Marine biologist B, Jacko and Kane; it would not have been the same trip without you all. Keeping us on the shoulder of the Orcas, welcoming us to the wheelhouse and sharing expertise and stories. A bunch of 5 hungry guys - food and refreshments were absolutely bang on. Could not recommend highly enough! Thank you Naturaliste Charters, one of the best days of our lives. Dom, Daf, Tom, George, Hugh

    Fantastic Experience
My wife and I took a trip with Naturaliste Charters in mid January and had a great time. The trip out to the canyon was during average conditions which cleared up to a beautiful day. We saw Orca’s as soon as we arrived and numerous pods were sighted all day. The staff are all very professional and provide a wealth of information. This may be a once in a life-time experience, well worth the price paid and I highly recommend it. Luckly we don’t suffer from sea sickness, if you do I would take tablets before you go out.

Fantastic opportunity to see orcas in the wild
Naturaliste Charters are one of two operators who take passengers to the Bremer Canyon, south-east of Bremer Bay on the south coast of Western Australia. They were the first to do so and look much the better choice. For one reason their boat is designed for the Southern Ocean and is lower and wider, thus much more stable in rough conditions. i went with them on several days when the opposition either chose not to sail because the sea appeared a bit rough, or they returned to port several hours earlier, limiting the viewing opportunities. Naturaliste also have a marine biologist on-board and others with extensive knowledge about the orcas. We saw orcas each day, often very close to the boat, which was really exciting. The basic daily price is not cheap at $385, but this is due to the long trip out to the edge of the continental shelf which can be very expensive on fuel. Food and refreshments on the boat were very good.
