informative
It is worth a look to learn about the country's civil war, 1991-2002. The collection includes items from the Special Court, traditional dress, posters calling for peace, signs, etc. Really touching. Remember to see the Memorial Garden in the back. There's a lot more in their holdings if they had more funds to be able to catalog and display. I don't know how much this has changed since I was there last year.

History of Sierra Leone
A guide will take you to a series of wall paintings significant in the history of Sierra Leone and tell you about the history of the country. Towards the end, visit the tomb of the unknown soldier and a statue of reconciliation after the most recent war. The guides are knowledgeable and friendly and proud to explain their history.

Super informative and helpful tour guide
We got there around 3pm and had immediately a tour with the guide for about 1 hour. Guide was very very knowledgeable, and the museum is simple but contained very informative exhibition. Wished the place had more funds and was able to open more spaces like this is other parts of the country to be more accessible to the rest of the population, particularly the one in the parts of the country more affected by the war. Also the items from the Kamajors were quite hard to see in the way they are displayed.
