One of the Better State Fairs
I've been to many state fairs over the years and this one rates towards the best. We went on a Monday and we were grateful that we did as it was a traffic nightmare so I can't imagine how bad it is on the weekend. The parking is painless and run well and reasonably priced. There is plenty to do and it's like visiting six state fairs in one which is pretty cool. The food is good and reasonably priced for a state fair. The ag exhibits are plentiful, there a plenty of rides for the kiddos and the state capitols and vintage village were interesting with plenty of free entertainment at the main pavilion. We all had a lot of fun here.

Very Good venue for large Model Railroad Show
Attended a two day model railroad event at the Big E. It occupied four buildings. The tunnel tents between buildings were very convenient as it rained one of the days. The staff was helpful. The only downside is the quality of the food concessions. For the price you pay they should offer better tasting hamburgers , hot dogs and sausage.

Nice Venue for Large Shows
This is a huge location with many buildings. I go to the woodworking show every January and the facility is okay for this. This year they redid the men's room finally so it no longer looks like 1922 in there. The food offering is simply put, terrible.The food is third rate and the service is horrendous! Sometimes (during peak lunch times) you wait on line to pay for so long all your food is cold. I now bring my own sandwich and drink so I don't have to suffer!
