Borgarnes Museum, West Region, Iceland

Must see if you're traveling North from Reykjavik!
This museum was full of facinating history from Iceland including photographs, artifacts, and birds. Very kind folks working at the museum as well, going out of their way to give additional information about the exhibit and life in Iceland. I would suggest that anyone traveling through Borgarnes stop here!

Very interesting
A very nice museum about the life of Icelanders and their history. Excellent photo and object exhibit covering Iceland's last 100 years. The explanations are in English and Icelandic. There is also a small library. Nice and helpful staff. This is the museum with a great view over the sea and the mountains. If you're here and you have an hour , it's worth seeing this extensive collection of photos, which will take you to the Icelandic past.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT MISS
This was an incredible exhibit! The attendant was so passionate about the exhibits and was the most gracious hostess. The exhibit is lovely, well laid out, and fascinating. The bird exhibit was especially amazing! Such a treat!
