Great village and great homestay close by!
My girlfriend and I have spent 4 days right by Sewinggrai village at Methos Homestay and we had a great time. The water and the sealife around there was great and also the local people were extremely friendly and we had an amazing snorkle around the area. I would certainly recommend to stay at Methos Homestay which is only walking distance from Sewinggrai - we had a great spacious bungalow (the best bungalow that we had in Raja Ampat) with an hammock and sunlongers and it was right on the water with open views of Gam, Mansuar, Arborek and Pianemo in the distance. Methos and his family were very welcoming, Methos himself was very knowledgable and the food that we had was delicious.

A lot of colorful fish under the jetty
Great place to see fishes...a lot of them!!! Besides enjoying the environment, please remember to bring a lot of snacks for the children of Sawingrai! There are many of the at the jetty and I felt very bad arriving there empty handed. Had I known...I would have brought a lot of candies....snacks...to distribute to the wonderful children waiting for tourist...

Fisherman's village in Raja Ampat
Visit this fisherman's village in Raja Ampat to feel the hospitality of the locals and interact with them. You can do fish feeding here, or snorkel around the island to see the beautiful underwater life. You can even see the famous Cendrawasih bird, but it had to be done early in the morning and its not a guaranteed show because the bird's appearance is quite random.
