Great park in Wellington
We discovered this park only recently, while looking for places to get some fresh air and exercise while being able to social distancing. It has 2 entrances (the main difference between the two is that the North one has restrooms) with small parking lots, and 3 miles of walking trails where you can walk, run or bike. There is also a separate dirt path for horseback riding! It is a very clean, tranquil, beautiful park; nature and birds help you relax, and get great pictures. We will visit it frequently during the winter time: as a lot of people already pointed out, the trails are completely under the sun… but there are a lot of young trees on the sides though: they will surely bring some shades to the trails in the future!

Don’t miss this if you like nature
I wanna dra this five out of five but the scale jammed at four stars. What is a very quiet peaceful and well-maintained preserve we walk there several times and were impressed by the array of beautiful and unique birds as well as some of the flowers and trees. It is easy to do a 3+ mile walk. We had no trouble parking but I imagine it would be tight during busy times.

Stunning
We visited this reserve after going to peaceful waters in the morning and read about it on the information board. So very beautiful and tranquil we wish we had longer to enjoy the area as we seen much beautiful wildlife. Don’t rely on a satnav to find the reserve though as it sent us somewhere else over the other side of Wellington.
