Excellent Tour and Lunch at Equestrian Center

We have lived in Palm Beach County for many years but this is our first visit to the equestrian center. It was beautiful and fascinating. I never expected it to be so large with the competition areas, practice areas, shops, restaurants and barns. We visited during what they call Hunter Week. We were a group tour on a Thursday morning with our community. The horses are both beautiful and graceful as they jumped over their obstacles ridden by their costumed riders. We had a very good buffet lunch in a large tented area. The admission is free although certain preferred seating has a cost. On-site parking is free except for Saturday nights. We have already made plans to attend with another couple this coming Saturday evening.

This is the place to visit to see top horses and riders from around the world.
If you have any interest in horses and the equestrian lifestyle, do not miss a trip to PBIEC. From small children competing in the Hunter divisions, to Grand Prix Jumpers and Dressage riders that spend the winter season competing in Wellington, there is sure to be an event taking place if you visit between January and April. Great shopping for tack, riding apparel, and an assortment of luxury goods for the horse lover. Wide variety of food on site. A fun, exciting, and inexpensive day out.

Day trip to see World Class Horse Community
For those who do not know - Wellington has become the Equestrian Capital of the World (from Jan- Apr) every year. This area located due west of West Palm is truly a unique experience and largely unknown to the (non-horse community). If visiting this area of SE FLA - take a ride out to Wellington and look to visit one of the many Equestrian events held during their winter season. You will not be disappointed. Spectacular facilities await. For horse lovers (of any kind) - this is a must! You will be amazed at the wealth that flocks into Wellington every season - from all over the world. The only downside - beware when trying to frequent the best restaurants in area during the season as the local population swells by thousands and reservs are very tough to come by!
