Quiet Escape
Young's Park is a county park right next to the resort on Guemes Island. Not a really big park, but if you're looking for a real quiet place to hang out, this is the place. There is a little beach area, lawn area, and a short trail through the woods. One could even stay in their car if the weather is bad and watch the boats go by. There is a nice view of some the surrounding islands. I'm guessing on a better weather day, one might be able to see Mount Baker on the mainland. Even on a grayer day, it was still fun walking around and get the sense of quiet you get here. If you're looking for a quiet place and not want to do a longer hike on Guemes, Young's Park is a great place to escape to.
