Woodward Canyon Winery, Washington, United States

4.5 (59 reviews) Monday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent Ranking #2 in Lowden Wineries & Vineyards

Exactly what we were looking for in a wine tasting experience

Located in the Walla Walla Valley appellation of Washington State, Woodward Canyon Winery was started in 1981 by Rick Small and his wife, Darcey Fugman-Small. They have since been joined by the second generation, Jordan Dunn-Small and Sager Small. Since the beginning, the winery has consistently produced premium,age-worthy, award-winning cabernet sauvignons and merlots as well as chardonnays. Woodward Canyon's second label, Nelms Road, is also available at the winery. Governor Inslee recently announced additional restrictions to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in Washington State. Due to changes in restrictions for service, as of November 18, 2020, we will be postponing all onsite wine tasting. We will continue to keep our “Visiting” page on woodwardcanyon.com updated with the most up to date details for our winery operations and are available by phone to answer any questions if you are planning a visit. We will also keep you aware of any changes in our upcoming newsletters.

    D*mn They Make Good Wine
It had been 17 years since my husband was here. It stood out then and it still does. Even after many wine club memberships throughout California over the years, Woodward Canyon still shines above. We found all of their vintage wines to be excellent. The outdoor seating in the grassy garden was a perfect setting and Steve provided us with his knowledge of the wines as well as some comic relief which always promotes good wine tasting. We will be back!

    Must stop here
What an excellent stop! The setting is lovely and the staff was great! We started in the gardens which was peaceful then moved inside when the landscapers showed up late to the staffs dismay but it was no big deal at all! Everything was good and the tasting felt abundant. We ended up liking so many things we had to ship it home! They let us leave our car to walk next door where our next appointment was and upon our return to the lot we got to see grapes going into the press. We even got to try a couple fresh!
