Sculptures all over town
I went to visit a friend and discovered there are these decorative metal sculptures all over town. They were quite interesting and kinda cool to see along the main road and near-by.

Public Art at its Best
Always fascinating to drive through the small town of Raymond, WA, and see the countless pieces of outstanding art – silhouettes of deer grazing, draught horses pulling logs, family groups, birds on posts, etc. Not sure if this is good traffic safety – it does slow us down, but the driver’s attention is somewhat distracted by the many figurines! The clever placement of these figures is also quite an art in itself. I read somewhere that this art was the creation of various artisans and that there are about 200 such displays. An eclectic show of realistic artwork for travellers to enjoy as they pass through on Hwy 101. Well done Raymond – unlike many small towns we drive through as we travel home, you are truly a memorable and creative place.

Silouets
While driving through town we saw a lot of these statues. It was quite different and whoever made them is obviously quite talented. We noticed the first one just after case pond which is a great place to pull off the road for a stretch. The statues ran all along the 101 through town. Check them out if you are going through.
