You Can't Beat This Location for a Free Educational Family Activity

First of all: FREE. For family travelers looking for inexpensive activities, this is a must. There are many exhibits (focus is on keeping waterways and watersheds clean and healthy) for older kids plus a great small play area targeted for kids under three that is safe and clean. The location is very clean and there are nearby trails and city parks right on the river. There is a fabulous fountain that kids love to watch.

    Educational activities galore
The Water Resource Center is such an amazing place. They host many activities throughout the year and most are FREE. If you're child is interested in rivers, fish, water or just likes getting their hands dirty, this is the place to visit. A favorite activity they host each year is the Critter Count. Check their calendar for upcoming events.

    Great Place for Families
We took our grandchildren here after researching things to do in Vancouver. They are ages 7, 5, and 2 so we weren't sure if we'd find a place to please them all but we were pleasantly surprised. The Center is a beautiful facility scenically located along the Columbia River. The activities, exhibits, and staff made for a really fun time. In addition there are trails and a nice wetland area surrounding the Center. I highly recommend for families.
