Great views from cliff top viewpoint
A short trail through the woods leads to a viewpoint at the top of a rocky cliff (with railings to keep you away from the edge). The views look across the valley to rugged rocky peaks with snow fields above the tree line and a view of the highway far below. A great stop along highway 20.

A View You Can’t Miss
A MUST if you’re coming to North Cascades. The Washington Pass Outlook entrance was closed in mid-June, but you can park outside the locked gates and walk in about half of a mile. Once you get there, you’ll get to the top and see the most amazing views of the park. The peaks and a look down into valley are stunning. A quick 30-45 minute stop, well worth it.
