Ride the ferry as the full moon bathes the Columbia River
I try to greet the full moon each month by being in the Columbia River on this dependable ferry. Timing my trip from Westport,Oregon to match the moonrise and the return trip is a double benefit. Cost: 4$ if you just ride; 12$ if you bring your car. Bring a hoodie and an open heart. All that is necessary. Simple pleasures Share my joy...do it!

Oregon to Washington Ferry
Travel on this ferry regularly and it is consistently on time with friendly deckhands. Bathroom requires a key from the deckhand.

A fun detour on our drive from Portland to Astoria
Saw this on the map and decided to cross the Columbia from Puget Island, WA to the Oregon side of river. For $6 the car driver and passengers take a 15 minute ride on the ferry. Schedule is posted at the pier, runs every half-hour. Our trip had 3 cars and 3 motor cycles. Due to rain we didn't get out of car to enjoy a better view- next time.
