GREAT PLACE FOR WALKERS
Park on 5th Street and walk out across the Fort Vancouver grounds and up over the bridge with pictures of historic Vancouver and interesting plants, then down to the Old Apple Tree. The walk over and back takes a couple of hours if you stop to look at everything. If you wish, you can park near the apple tree and walk in from that direction.

Fascinating art and attempt to reconstruct native american history
Crossed bridge as part of my river walk. I was impressed the City of Vancouver and probably some local non-governments organizations have attempted to give some of the history and highlights of several Indian tribes that utilized the Columbia. We are so good at forgetting that others lived on the land sustainably for centuries before our European ancestors "discovered" North America!
