Great Independent Book Store - Like it used to be
Great place to go and relax, attend a lecture or reading by an author, maybe have a bite to eat and look through the displays and shelves looking for a book you didn't know about before you walked in or even find a gift for a friend. Great staff willing to help if you can describe what you are looking for they can usually find something that meets your need - fiction or non-fiction. They are able to bring in the best and the brightest authors (William Gibson last night - the day his latest novel was released) to do readings and signings. I only worry about how long this can last.

Third Place Books a Wonderful Surprise
Craig Johnson, author of the Longmire books that were used to create the Longmire series was at the Third Place Bookstore last evening. There were about 200 people in attendance (maybe 150; I didn't count) and it was wonderful. The bookstore staff were fantastic, the presentation was beyond enjoyable and the whole event was excellent. The bookstore was a real surprise to me. Food can be purchased; coffee drinks, GF treats; almost anything you can want. There were a lot of people enjoying various aspects of the bookstore, including groups at tables playing games, conducting bookclubs, or chatting. The book selection is incredible and, although it isn't very close to me, it will definitely be my "go to" store for the many books I buy. Thanks Third Place Books! (Oh! Apparently they have live music Friday and Saturday nights. I'll be checking that out.)

"Book on in, to find your favorite Book!"
You could spend hours here, there is so much to see! New books, used books, gifts, calendars, and so much more. Can't find the book you need? Just ask at the main desk and they'll tell you if they have it or not. The employees are so friendly and helpful!
