You can just feel the energy
Kind of like when you arrive in a grove of redwood trees, you can feel the power or energy from the river. There are tons of places along the Columbia to relax, picnic and play. Being there on the cusp of winter with mist and snow/frost on the trees is awesome. Worth checking out.
