Wonderful trails and feeling of isolation
An amazingly isolated park nearby develops in Sammamish - this King County Park is a jewel! The trails are well maintained and marked to avoid getting lost (there are lots of intersections!). You can do an arduous hike, to the east is a gully and some steep hills, or stay to the west and walk through groves of trees on the flat. There are benches placed at intervals along the main trail. It is rarely deep in mud, but it is the NW so sometimes its pretty soggy, but it is by far the nicest forested park in the area - hundreds of acres I'd guess - mostly away from any sounds of roads and rarely encountering more than one or two people in a 30 minute walk through the wonders of nature. Highly recommended for kids, adults, and everyone in between.

Scenic Forest with numerous walking and single track bike paths
Living in a city I often visit Soaring Eagle to find solitude. It is a protected forest with a main path that is smooth enough for wheelchairs and easy walking. For the more adventurous there are many interconnecting side trails for walking or mountain biking. Once there the city noise disappears and you are left with the sound of birds and frogs with light filtering through the trees. There is parking at both ends of the main trail which runs through the park. There are benches for resting. My grandson had a great time watching small insects and looking for nature's treasures. You can appreciate the park in as little as 30 minutes, though it is big enough to spend a few hours walking its various trails.
