    Reconnecting
Eight friends who met on a Viking River Cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest in 2018 reconnected in Walla Walla. Four from Spokane, two from Everett and two from Texas. Seven Hills was the first of five stops over a two day period that proved to be extremely relaxing and powerfully loving for us. The Seven Hills tasting was a perfect beginning with a delightful and gracious host in a beautiful setting. It was a perfect beginning to a wonderful week with friends. We were only sorry that the couples from Australia and Florida couldn’t join us. Thank you for making our trip special!

Lovely tasting room and great introduction to Walla Walla wines
Great experience! We made a reservation in advance and visited on a weekday morning. The tasting room, in a lovely historical building in downtown Walla Walla, was really pleasant, and it was about a 2 minute walk from the Marcus Whitman hotel. The tasting experience was nice—a good sampling of their wines, starting with a Sauvignon Blanc and then moving to reds. The person leading our tasting was very knowledgeable about the wines and easy with whom to converse. The winemaker happened to stop by as our tasting was ending, and he was great; he was easy with whom to chat and offered a lot of information in an accessible way. The wines were excellent. The Sauvignon Blanc was interesting; it had more body than many Sauvignon Blancs and (while still acidic overall) less bracing acidity. Merlot was also excellent; it was the best Merlot we tasted in the region. Cabernet was enjoyable, too; there was nice structure and the winemaking style felt restrained. This winery has larger production than many in the region, but the tasting experience and wine quality did not feel corporate. I would definitely recommended a visit when in the area! A great introduction to Walla Walla winemaking in a downtown-accessible, pleasant tasting room with nice service.
