Rosario Beach, Washington, United States

4.5 (80 reviews) Spent Ranking #4 in Fidalgo Island Beaches

Excellent views

Really enjoyed visiting Rosario Beach. Hiked from Rosario Beach to Bowman Bay to lighthouse point and Lottie point. Has awesome views and can't wait to go back to use my kayak on the bay. The water is a gorgeous greenish-blue. Some great vistas for photography. Also get a great view of the deception pass bridge from below from lighthouse point and lottie point. An easy hike to make with about 500 feet of elevation gain. But it's not all at once so it doesn't feel like you're constantly climbing. Easy for all age groups. You will need your discover pass to visit which is $35 for a year or $10 for a day.

    Great family beach
This is a wonderful beach with nice park area. This beach has tide pools at low tide and a ranger to give info. There are nice bathrooms at the parking lot. This area is accessible by wheelchair somewhat but not down to the actual sand beach. There are picnic tables and a shelter to rent for events. There is a little dock on one side. It has a totem pole with a story about it. Very beautiful park/beach and I would recommend you take kids to see the tide pool. Please be respectful of the rules at the tide pool to protect the creatures. We saw a great blue heron fairly close and of course little bitty crabs and fish, starfish and urchins. Look up tide tables so you can go at low tide if you plan to do the tide pools with kids. If you don't go at low tide, they will be covered in water. We picnicked on the beach this year for Mother's Day.

    Great little place!
Loved going there. Day was overcast and still it was beautiful. Can only imagine what it is on a sunny day. Make sure you take the trail going to Bowman Bay - an easy 1.5-2 miles each way (it was hard to keep track...), it is absolutely beautiful.
