A truly beautiful waterfall.
We took the brief bus ride from the dock to see the waterfall and could only stay 15 minutes. It was quite beautiful and roaring with late spring runoff. We rented a 4 wheeler and went back and spent an hour having a picnic lunch and taking a series of photos. This waterfall is in a wonderful setting a few miles from the village of Stehekin. The water is so clear.

The third tallest waterfall in the US
Rainbow falls is a short bus ride from the Stehekin Lodge. The guide is a local who grew up in the area and provided some very interesting commentary about growing up there. Be sure to take this short tour, it's only $15.00.
