Port of Ilwaco Boardwalk, Washington, United States

Scenic
This looks like it was taken out of a painting. There are an array of boats for fishing. The town it is in is small and when we were there it was slow and almost like a ghost town. The weather was poor and this may have contributed. It is beautiful to stop.

Always activity going on.
The Ilwaco Marina walkway has a commercial fishing marina on one side, restaurants, fresh seafood markets, galleries, charter fishing offices and shops on the other side and a working seafood processor at one end, with a brewery-pub planned for construction at the other end. It is very laid back and public access is allowed on the floats. The commercial fishing fleet is always going to and from the marina. On Saturdays, from May through September, there is a great local crafts market, all along the walkway. A great way to spend the day.

Fun!
I love Ilwaco! starting in May on Saturdays they have a nice Saturday Market with handmade items and food, it is great to walk along and look at everything, but don't forget the galleries that are along the boardwalk and the book store. Sunday morning is nice to walk along with out the market and enjoy the harbor and the wonderful sea air....
