A Seattle Must
One of the most popular farmers’ markets in the United States, this historic century-old Seattle icon has stalls upon stalls offering fresh produce, seafood, flowers, handicrafts, and loads more. It’s in the same location as the original Starbucks and a block away from countless bars, restaurants, and cafes, as well as the infamous Gum Wall—a brick wall covered in thousands of pieces of chewing gum. travelers flock to the market to see the fishmongers toss fish to one another, a market tradition. For more elbow room, visit on weekday mornings or join a food tour that gives you early access to the market. – Tripadvisor

Unique Experience
It is Seattle’s original farmers market and the center of locally sourced, artisan and specialty foods. One needs to navigate through all the levels inside to get a good feel of the entire market. There are several shops which sell some international goods as well. Would recommend to spend at least an hour inside, irrespective of whether one needs to buy anything, just for the unique market experience.

Well worth the trip, so much good food and cool vendors
Pike Place Market is very cool and full of all kinds of shops and vendors. I particularly enjoyed all of the flower vendors, book sellers, and bakery/deli/patisserie stalls. The best time to go is a weekday morning, when pretty much all of the vendors are open but the crowds are a bit more manageable than they are on weekends. You may want to budget a few hours to spend here if you want to see everything, but the market's website has a great tool to help you plan your trip if you (like me) get easily overwhelmed. Do check out the stalls out back overlooking the water--stunning views of the bay/sound. A tip: everyone crowds around the fish counter to see the guys who work there throw big slabs of fish. It happens *far less often* than you want it too, so unless that's the only thing you're there to see, it's not worth standing around for 30-40 minutes on the offchance it'll happen.
