    Informative and friendly
Great chat with Ethel at the Pacific County Historical Society and Museum, a small town museum in South Bend. She's quite the character and we enjoyed the chance to meet her. When she heard we were looking for oysters but couldn't go into the bar with our kid, she picked up the phone to find the best alternative! It's just a little place but they have a very nice selection of books to sell, a great display of oyster plates, and assorted other local memorabilia. Worth the visit!

A lot of history in this small museum!
Stopped by on a rainy afternoon and spent a happy hour learning about local history. Fun selection of books for sale! Take the time to look through the drawers for a great collection of photographs, posters and maps.
