Nisqually River
Drove along this for quite a while and was very impressed. This is glacier fed so there is a lot of rock that has been carried down as well as a lot of trees. For those interested in the glaciers this is interesting what a glacier can do. I do not know how far the glacier came down before it started retreating, but there is a short film at the Jackson Visitor Center that tells you about it.

Nearly a dry, rocky bed during July.
We took a short hike to the river bed. It wa mostly dry rocks with only a trickle of water in July, which was surprising sincel it was in July, but we were still pretty high on the mountain.
