Bring the family, even dogs are allowed there

We've been hiking this wetlands ever since it opened a long time ago. Now there are many trees, all reaching up to get sunlight. It's so relaxing to go there after a hectic day. We went again a couple of days ago, and even though it was a hot day, it was a cooling. On the internal loop - mostly boardwalk- it's intriguing to look into the murky water. There was a contest between the bullfrogs who can be the loudest! Lots of little ducks in the water, too. The outside had lots of salmon berries ready to be picked, but beware of hungry mosquitoes right now. Lots of parking available. Restroom at the parking area.

    Great easy in town hike
It feels like you’ve gotten away although you’re right in town. We saw all kinds of wildlife, including huge toads. Kids loved it.

    Not well developed, but...
This park lies just east of the Boeing plant in southwest Everett, yet outside of the occasional jet in the vicinity (now a bit more due to the opening to commercial air traffic at nearby Paine Field), a world away. Maps? There's not much to go on here. The parking lot on the west is where folks usually start, where there is the only map that I've seen. It's also where the only restroom facilities are. I head south, either on the marked trail through the forest or across the lawn behind the restrooms to join up with another trail that ends up out along 75th SW. If taking the latter, continue along that roadway for about 1/4 mile until, partway up a hill to the first business/driveway, there will be a trail that descends to your left. Follow this trail through the cool temperature-wise forest that encircles the sanctuary. For the lengthiest walk, take the right fork at each choice, and you'll eventually end up at a paved service road that is the same one you would have started on before turning into the parking lot.
