    Spectacular Trail Among The Trees
This trail is only about 8 miles on Road 25 or Hamma Hamma Road, off of US Highway 101 outside the town of Eldon. Depending on what type of hiker you are it could take you 2 hours to hike the 3.5 miles to lower Lena Lake. There is an elevation gain of 1900 feet, but the fairly long switchbacks makes it manageable. Along the way you will see Douglas fir and hemlock trees as well huge boulders. You will hear running water, I believe there is a river running under the rocks. Once you get to Lena lake you may spot a brass plaque paying tribute the Scouts and Leaders of Lena Lake's Camp Cleveland 1927-1941 Tumwater Area Council, Boys Scouts of America. Which I thought was pretty cool. It took us just about an hour and half to hike down.

Great Hike for Kids, Dogs and Off Season
The lake is stunning and this hike provides a great view of it. If you can withstand the water temperature, it's fun to swim around in. It tends to get really busy in the summer though...
