Great trip, gorgeous location
We had a great trip out to Stehekin. Beautiful day, with lots of fun facts about the area thrown in. Plan your trip. We should have taken a lunch with us. There is a restaurant at the destination, but they were very busy and we felt like it was a bit pricey.

Great boat trip for the day
It was quite a journey, as the boat trip is 2.5 hr. each way and the day I went, it passed by a wildfire, with choppers in action, dipping water from the lake , and dumping it on the active fire. Stehekin has a lodge and restaurant and a sitting area or you can take a bus tour to the bakery and the falls for $10. I brought a small lunch and ate it at a log bench near the boathouse, with a perfect view of the lake and it's turquoise water during the 1.5 hr stay. If you can commit to an entire day trip, this is well worth it!
