KendianaJones is wrong
"Not a pleasant place"????? We don't know what planet KendianaJones is from (perhaps the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull), but his review of the LaPush beach and Quileute community should be buried in an ancient crypt. The beach is stunning and the Quileutes have generously given us access. You can stay overnight at their beach condos or their new, modern hotels and explore the vast expanses of beaches nearby. The riverside restaurant is bright and cheery -- as are the hosts. Yes, Rialto Beach State Park just to the north is the star attraction, but anyone who says LaPush Beach "is not much to look at" needs to take the blinders off (check out the many photos on the Net). If KendianaJones was "eyed warily" by village residents and he "did not feel welcome," he needs to study American and tribal history. This is sacred tribal land, and the Quileutes have chosen to share it with us. Instead of feeling paranoid on the lands of our First Nations, perhaps KendianaJones should search for the lost ark instead. We have visited LaPush and Rialto many times -- and will continue to go back in the years ahead.

Part of the La Push thing...
My wife HAD to visit La Push because of the vampires. Even observed that the Vampire Warning was High the day we were there! This was only the second NW Pacific beach I'd ever been to, having been to Rialto only an hour before. But it was still very nice and so different than the beaches I grew up loving. It's part of the experience and I recommend it very much.
