    Seeing Green
The park and lake are gorgeous and there are a number of places to have a seat and enjoy the view. It is close proximity to the Woodland Park Zoo so that is convenient. The area has some small restaurants that bring life to the storefronts. However, when you're walking/jogging up to it, you're taken aback because there are a plethora of homeless camps that almost circle the park. The camps are a mix of tents and broken down RV's that folks are living out of. This was very off putting as the neighborhood boasts condos/homes with values well into the low millions. No one bothered or disturbed us, but it was a bit unnerving as you have to walk through/past the large camp and walk under an underpass across a generally busy road. I still rank the park as excellent because it was not in disrepair, it was vibrant, it was beautiful.

If you have time, visit the park.
I have friends that live within walking distance of the park, so I have been there many times. There is a nice walking path around the lake which doesn't take long to complete. There is always some activity going on at the park that everyone would fine interesting. Dogs are welcome.
