Working covered bridge
Just off the highway lies Grays River Covered Bridge...the only covered bridge in Washington State that is still in use. Built in 1905 and covered in 1906 so livestock wouldn't slip on the wet planks. Love seeing this bridges from the past. Definitely worth the stop....life is too short to zoom past bridge like this!!!

Step back in time
This is a very cool bridge out in farm country. The historical marker is on the front of the bridge but, after you drive through it, there is a parking lot with a sign (and a porta potty) with more information. The back side is a better spot for photos in my opinion and you can get a great view of the side. Very peaceful spot. It was worth a little side trip to visit it.

Off the beaten path
On our way out to the Washington coast, we saw a sign for this covered bridge and decided to follow the call to adventure! It was a 2+ mile drive (each way) off the highway to see the bridge, but it is in a beautiful country spot and fun to take time to see. You can drive through it to the other side. (Maybe not in a huge RV or wide vehicle, but in a "regular size" vehicle.)
