Great spot for events, classical feeling and peaceful
I've had several events here and am always impressed. Beautiful home, the pics turn out amazing and the surrounding area is tranquil and peaceful. Great for family reunion, anniversary, wedding, etc. Value was good last time I checked but it has been a couple years. Little piece of history in the 'Couve.

    Free attraction
The George C. Marshall, of Marshall Plan fame, was an unexpected surprise. We were walking in to Fort Vancouver and had no idea that the home was open for viewing. General Marshall and his 2nd wife lived here for a few years in the 1930's. The home is a gorgeous Victorian with spacious rooms and beautiful furniture. The entire neighborhood is clean with abundant green grass and fresh air. The employee was friendly and knowledgeable, yet she let us tour the house without shadowing us which was much appreciated. I can't say enough good about this attraction and would recommend it to visitors strongly. I might mention that this is not a site that would interest children.
