Hidden Treasure
A friend who knows I enjoy gardening recommended that I visit Elandan, but it is so much more than a garden. The unique bonsai collection is the star, but the history, the setting, and the views are all stunning. And we spent as much time inside exploring the displays in the gift shop as we did outside. All in all, the place is a hidden treasure.

A must see garden, worth traveling a while to see ...
Our garden club traveled to see this Garden, it had been on our "must see" list for a long time. Yes, do take the time to get there - we had to figure out a U-turn as we zoomed by the gardens the wrong way. When you get to the parking lot you see lots of statues and figures, and "art" - certainly you'll find something you like. The store is amazing - antiques and antics - dogs and a comfy cat will greet you in an amazing array of treasures from all over the world. The garden is an absolute delight - we were fortunate enough to have a tour by THE master bonsai artist, Dan Robinson. He also pointed out two eagles very high up in a tree close by. All the bonsai creations are different and are anywhere from 50 years to over 1000 years old and collected from various parts of USA and Canada. Take your time, and enjoy the water features, the tree creations, flowers, and the view.
