Beautiful Experience for the entire family.
Very beautiful experience! Starting with the walk through the forest and ending at the Spit, the entire walk/hike was awesome. Our group included not only 9 year olds, but also older adults with physical limitations. The pave trail made it accessible for everyone. The last short leg was very steep however, if you’re not able to make the last leg, you can use the observation deck. If in the area, I highly recommend a stop here.

Windy on the spit
Just less than a mile through very pretty woods brings you to the spit. We went for sunset during a very windy night. Temps dropped in the 50s and the wind was intense so bring jackets for sunset. Full open views. Bald eagle was low flying. Don’t ever walk too far out without knowing the tides!!! Bunch of deer in the field driving out.
