Wow! Don’t Just Drive By! STOP!
What a great find! We stopped here on a drive and I was amazed at the huge number of plants for sale and the beauty of the outdoor garden that is located alongside the green houses. If you follow the signs inside the store, you will see one pointing to an outdoor garden! I am so glad we took the time to check it out. It was early May and the garden was beautiful! Such a surprise! From the front of this place, it looks like just a nursery with greenhouses, but once inside the number of beautiful plants for sale is astounding! Did I mention the outdoor garden?? Don’t just drive by! Stop!

A totally unexpected treat
Their website says they have a show garden but that is a major understatement. Our visit in May resulted in finding a lot of flowers in bloom in the gorgeous well-planned free garden which seems to be open around the clock and open to visits even if the shop is closed. It appeared to our eyes to be accessible through a gate beside the adjacent cemetery as well as from at the road. This was a true delight to my gardener wife's senses and it was my good fortune to be with her.

tulip fields
DeGoede's is the most spectacular tulip farm in the spring, with vibrant colors and varieties. One can walk through the tulips you can buy bulbs and cut tulips at the most reasonable price. After the tulips comes the Iris's and they are equally beautiful and one can purchase them as well. They also offer house plants as well as a variety of garden plants and a beautiful walk through garden that is fabulous. I love this place, even if it's only to walk around and look at the beautiful flowers and browse the gift shop. coffee and tea is always served :)
