Great well marked Trails!
There are many trail entrances to the area, but finding the parking lot for the first time was a bit of a challenge. The trails are well marked, however, and every time I go I find a different trail to explore. Some trails seem to be favorites for cyclists, but everyone I have ever met on the trails has been friendly and helpful.

Nice little swim hole
I was in town for the weekend and when the hotel pool closed, I had two disappointed and upset 8 year old girls in tow. We started driving around Anacortes to find a lake to swim in and the first two we found were a big no go, but then we came to Cranberry Lake and had a great time! The girls loved it and had more fun than they would have in a pool for sure. Very quiet and scenic area with some nice hiking trails. I thought it was a very clean park as well. We will be going back.

Small seanic lake
Not a typical tourist attraction because of its lack of development. I may be giving it a great disservice writing about it. I new about it because I grew up walking distance from it 60 years ago. The nice thing is unlike much of Anacortes, it has not changed. There is a rough half mile dirt road to get there and once there there is parking and the lake, NO services. There are walking paths to different viewpoints and a couple places to sit. That's serenity without a bunch of people.
