Fun, quirky place
The power of road side advertising. I wanted to check out there "cow pies" but instead had the best turkey and cranberry sandwich. Great value.

Better Than It Looks
I had read good reviews of Cow Creek on TripAdvisor before our overnight stop in Ritzville. When we walked in, we were not impressed and left. However there is not much to choose from to eat in Ritzville so we returned and hesitantly sat down at a booth to make our selections. My wife had a turkey melt sandwich and a bowl of vegetable soup. I order a small vegetarian pizza. The waitress said everything they served was home made. She was right it was fantastic ! The young waitress gave us excellent service with a sincere smile. I wish I had gotten her name. Very nice young lady. If you are stopping for gas, or spending the night, don't be deceived by the looks of the Cow Creek Mercantile. The food and service are outstanding !!!
