Christine Falls Viewpoint, Washington, United States

4.5 (75 reviews) Spent Ranking #9 in Mount Rainier National Park Waterfalls

A Must Stop

This is one you HAVE to Stop to actually see it. You get a glimpse as you pass but only a very small portion. This Fall starts way up & continues with a few falls and goes under the bridge & farther down. Great viewing area of the lower section off of the parking lot. Path down has steps, but it’s a short walk. The main upper portion you view from the bridge. Lean over if you can to see the dramatic fall take it’s plunge downward.

Beautiful Falls Framed by a Rustic Stone Bridge
From the viewpoint located at the end of a very short access path, the beautiful 40 foot (12m) Christine Falls is framed by a lovely, rustic, arch-shaped, stone bridge. The bridge and viewpoint are located 4 miles (6.4k) east of Longmire on Paradise Road, just past mile marker 10, with pullouts on both sides of the bridge. An even closer look at this beautiful waterfall, which had a high volume of water even during the extremely dry summer of 2015, can be had by walking across the bridge but be very careful walking or driving across the bridge as the walk way is very narrow and I notice several people, not paying attention, stepping backward into traffic to better frame of their photo.

As Long as You’re in the Area…
This is a quick stop, assuming it’s not peak season. Even if it is, it is worth a quick look. The falls are beautiful and access to them couldn’t be much easier.
