Cascade Cliffs Vineyard & Winery, Washington, United States

Amazing wines, great service, very nice tasting rooms!

If I could have only one wine club, it would be Cascade Cliffs. We discovered them by accident in 2018 returning from a wine trip to the Okanogan in British Columbia. The vineyard is nestled along the Columbia river west of Maryhill at the base of red rock cliffs with a small, rustic tasting room and beautiful outdoor seating. A lovely location and always fun to visit. We live two hours away from Hood River, which is the tasting room we visit most often. It’s well worth the trip and we always have a wonderful time. The service is friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. This winery has the best wine club discounts I’ve ever seen and the wines are rich, complex, delicious, and reasonably priced. Famous for their Barberas, I’m partial to the Mourvèdre, Shiraz, and Nebbiolo. If you love good reds, go here.

The Wine is incredible, but the tasting room seating on Oak St, Hood River is uncomfortable
I happened across Cascade Cliffs while meandering through Hood River while entertaining friends. The wine connoisseurs were extremely knowledgeable and customer-service oriented and seemed to genuinely take an interest in the customers. The Blood Red Barbera was the most amazing red wine I’ve ever had. The only reason I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because the tasting room on Oak Street in Hood River has bar stools and seating that are incredibly uncomfortable—especially for the older crowd who have hip and knee replacements (nothing to prop your foot onto). Maybe it’s intended that way so people don’t stay and stay, but it makes me not want to go there for tastings. Instead, I just buy the wine and move along. Their wine is top notch.

Incredible wine, and lovely tasting room manager!
My husband and I were recently in Woodinville and stopped into Cascade Cliffs for wine tasting. We are so happy we did, the wine is incredible! Add we had the pleasure of meeting Ariel, the tasting room manager, her knowledge of wine is incredible and made the experience memorable. We can't wait to bring family and friends when they come to town for the holidays! Thank you, Ariel, it was so nice to meet you, see you again soon!
