Tour ok, staff rude

The tour was okay. You could do it on your own tempo, the information, at the information boards inside, was educational. Learned a lot. The man at the counter, selling the tickets, was rude. We didn’t feel welcome. Big mouth, when we asked if we had to buy the tickets at is counter. He reacted with “did you make a reservation?” We said no, he replied “then you see I’m busty, you can wait”. He was doing nothing. That man, really should not worked there. So the tour was good, the man at the counter. He really needs some education how to socialize.

    Interesting tour
Our family decided to take a day trip over to the Liege area and do some fun things with the kids. This attraction made the cut, and was the first thing we did. We've never explored a cave, so I thought this would be fun for my family (2 kids aged 7 and 4.) These caves have been open for touring for over 150+ years. And they have a boat tour as part of the tour and it's the longest underground waterway in Europe. The first part of the tour is by foot, and the you finish by boat. We had a great time - it takes over an hour, which is long enough, but not too long. The guides were very friendly and accommodating to us (we were the only ppl in our tour group who needed an English translation.) He made sure that he knew where we were all the time, and gave us our translation separately from the others. He was friendly with us, and had a genuinely friendly attitude. The only negatives I can add are that we do feel that his English was only moderate. We did have a difficult time understanding him, and we're fairly certain we missed out on quite a bit of historical data and info. We ARE living in a foreign land, so we cannot be too disappointed, but it IS a bit of a negative. The other negative is that he asked for tips multiple times - always a turnoff for me. I would recommend this tour to others.

A good place to visit although cheeky guides
This place is an interesting place to visit if you have a couple of spare hours or a genuine interest in geology. Our guide was knowledgeable and spoke a number of different languages although certainly seemed to have an attitude towards German and British guests and was reluctant to answer any questions. At first I thought this may be a language barrier but over the course of the visit it was apparent that this was not the case. He than at the end of the tour asked for additional tips.... The younger tour guides were a little more generous with there time.
