Twister The Movie Museum, Oklahoma, United States
4.5 (34 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Wakita Speciality Museums
Good overall experience and the twister museum is worth going for.
There is little to nothing in Wakita and it is out in the middle of nowhere. The twister museum had a lot of memorabilia but it was much smaller than what I was expecting. But it was good overall. The day we went was the twister festival. There were a couple of minor actors from the movie. They were signing Autographs but we did not wait in the long lines to get one. If you’re out that way, it’s definitely worth going to the twister museum if you were a fan of the movie.

Fascinating
Loved it!!! The nice sweet lady running it was very informative! Positive attitude and seemed to really enjoy that we were there. She shared the story’s of the actors and how Bill Pullman was super nice to everyone and how he would play football with the local kids. It was actually really nice to see his hand written notes to her and to find out the movie makers of Twister donated a lot so she could start her museum. As a big fan of the movie and storm chaser I absolutely loved to go here. If ur a Twister fan GO!!!!

Great Little Museum
Fans of the movie so we had to come here!! The museum is in the middle of nowhere but we enjoyed our journey there. Well worth the trip and interesting walking around Wakita. The residents are really lovely. The lady who was running the museum that day also gave us some great information on other places to visit. (Many thanks for the Palo Duro Canyon recommendation. Beautiful stay.) It's free but we left a donation as it was well worth it.
