Excellent musum and forest walk
The museum on 2 floors had displays of Minhausen's legendary travels and acquisitions. Many stuffed birds. Also a film about his adventures.There are life-like wax figures of well-known characters and of Minhausen himself. The Minhausen Forest Walk is popular with mosquitos. It is very picturesque with carvings along the way with amusing texts in Latvian.

Whole day out and happy
Munchausen's Museum, nature trails, tall-ship playground and walk to the beach made us hungry like wolves. Good, they have also summer cafe with not such a big variety, but food was good. Sweets we bought in museum - sort of caramel were our deserts. Territory is clean, WC as well. Recognised they have baby table there. For those who are not experienced hikers or travels with babies can short trail recommend. It's good to know that path is very slippy on rainy day, so better plan your trip with walk in woods on sunny day. And don't forget that family tickets are cheaper!

Nice place
Interesting place were you could found museum - house of the real Baron’s first wife, with a lot off stuffed birds and animals. The are two interesting footpaths near museum, you can go to the sea through wild and very interesting forest.
