Cool Experience
Very cool to experience this again as an adult, as I had been during a childhood trip. My bf hadn't been here at all, and he really loved this place and said it was way more than expected. It was very quiet which was sad to see, but I think this is because of the last couple of years of COVID, however we enjoyed the quiet as it meant we weren't struggling with crowds. All the people running the shops and exhibits were friendly and we would definitely recommend visiting.

A must see in the picturesque Swan Hill
Excellent place to visit with the kids (a smaller version of Sovereign Hill and slightly better than Coal Creek Korumburra) Definitely recommend incorporating the Murray River cruise into your trip and getting on board the paddle steamer "Pyap". My boys (8,9) loved listening to the blacksmith and also loved the rope making demo which also gave them a chance of using the equipment to make their own ropes! My horse mad son loved his personalised stamped horse shoe (available for an affordable price from the blacksmith) The show at night is brilliant, one of a kind! Very entertaining. Lots of great photo opportunities in town, and the car ride and horse carriage ride were also a hit. The huge GEM paddle steamer was also very interesting to explore. Almost a 5 star rating with a star lost for a minor bad experience at the cafe onsite - one of the volunteer ladies was very grumpy when she brought out our food tray slamming it on the table stating she couldn't wait for all the "Victorians" to go home and leave Swan Hill - we were waiting for a punch line, but there wasn't one! (understandably it was busy given the April holidays however we felt like an inconvenience at the end of the lunch period!) The VIC govt. encouraging people from Melb to discover Victoria but this grumpy lady was less than impressed with us tourists.
